Note: These conditions apply to each individual when booking as a group.

PAYMENT

• Mountain Treks & Hill Walks: The full payment must be made prior to the trek / walk after having received the booking confirmation email. Payments need to be made within 24 hours upon filling the form using the GoCardless link provided in the reservation confirmation email. The same applies for bundle offers. Bookings made via the WeTravel Platform will be managed via the platform and payments taken from there direclty.
• Third Party Groups: MellowJourneys also has special offers for third party groups, payments will be managed by the individual/organisation of the third party group which may have their own terms and conditions for the participants.
• Clubs & Workshops: To register your child(ren) you need to book for the whole session or set of sessions and pay using the GoCardless link provided in the reservation confirmation email.
• Camping / Residential: A £75 non-refundable deposit per person is payable to confirm a booking. The remaining payment must be made no later than 4 weeks prior to the departure date. Payments can be made using the GoCardless link provided in the reservation confirmation email.
• Heart of Europe Adventure: A £350 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure an individual booking / The full payment must be made no later than 6 weeks before the departure date. Payments can be made using the GoCardless link provided in the reservation confirmation email (If booked via WeTravel use the included payment system).

CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT

• Clubs/Workshop cancellation: No refund is available in the event of a cancellation.
• Mountain Trek & Hill Walk cancellation: A 50% refund is made for cancellations made up to 7 days before the trek date. No refund can be made for cancellations made within 7 days of the trek date.
• Third Party Groups: All third party group bookings are non-refundable. Third party organisations/individuals may have their own cancellation policies in place.
• Heart of Europe Adventure: The non-refundable booking deposit of £350 will not be refunded for cancellations. Any further fees paid towards the HoE Adventure will be fully refunded for cancellations made up to 12 weeks before the departure date. No further refund is made for cancellations within the 12 weeks of the departure date.
• Camping / Residential: The non-refundable deposit of £75 will not be refunded for cancellations. Any further fees paid towards the Camping / Residential Adventure will be fully refunded for cancellations made up to 4 weeks before the departure date. No further refund is made for cancellations within the 4 weeks of the departure date.

CANCELLATION BY MELLOWJOURNEYS

In the event that MellowJourneys has to cancel any booking, you will be offered a full refund, including the non-refundable deposits

• Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that advertised expeditions, clubs and journeys take place, MellowJourneys will notify the client of cancellation as soon as possible where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to insufficient booking numbers / dangerous and / or unsuitable conditions (weather, virus outbreaks, political instability etc.)
• For mountain treks / hill walks we will aim to find an alternative destination before cancelling should a yellow/amber or red weather warnings be in place for the booked destination.

INSURANCE AND LOSS

• MellowJourneys has a public liability insurance in place. MellowJourneys activities do not include any personal accident, cancellation or personal insurance. MellowJourneys will accept no responsibility whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property.
